The
Gate - Bar and Restaurant
The Gate Restaurant now has a firmly
established reputation as Notting Hill’s hottest dining
club. Designed & built by Owain George, ‘Hard &
Sexy’ best describes the décor. The sleek lines,
subtle overhead lighting, and stark light boxes that line
the walls along with plenty of fake wood veneers complete
its trashy glamour a setting that was selected for an episode
of Absolutely Fabulous among other photo and film shots.
The premises open at 6pm and the clientele start to indulge in the fine food created by Head Chef Dan White-House. The menu has also been designed so that it is conducive for partying, drinking and socialising. The Homemade Menu comes together to produce a selection of international dishes ranging from GATE Salt Beef Potato Cakes with a Fried Egg and a Mustard Cream Sauce to a Homemade Smoked Salmon and Cream Cheese Samosa. Not only has The Gate produced a unique concept with food of the utmost excellence but one that is definitely value for money.

cocktails at the gravity defying bar, then sojourn to the
low-slung lounge which provides a secluded drinking area with
a bar menu available with a choice of Homemade Pork and Ginger
Gyoza with Sweet Soy Dipping Sauce, warm pita bread with hummus
or homemade mini cheese burgers. Enjoy the well selected wine

DJs play seven nights a week mixing a diverse selection of
music, the pace picks up at 10.30pm and the party kicks off

bass to funky house and R&B.
