'I wouldn't mind being killed off' - Nov 20 2007
Hermione Norris's character Ros Myers may have softened slightly in the latest series of Spooks, but that doesn't mean the actress likes playing her any less.

"I do love Ros," says the actress. "She's such a laugh; totally and utterly uncompromising. Basically, she doesn't give a damn about anything. It's really nice to play a character like that, someone who says the unsayable and doesn't worry about the consequences."

So far in the current series, we've seen Ros become more and more dissatisfied with MI5's handling of certain issues, resulting in her working for Yalta - a shady international organisation made up of double agents and senior government officials from around the world, united in trying to thwart American dominance.

This leads Ros into some dark areas, and ultimately her departure from the series, although Hermione won't comment on whether she's leaving temporarily, or whether her absence will be more permanent.

"Maybe she goes underground, or maybe she dies. Who knows?" she says, laughing.

"I wouldn't mind being killed off, it would be exciting, but then I love the show so much I want to stay."

Second baby for Hermione - Mar 16 2007
Actress Hermione Norris is expecting her second child with TV producer hubby Simon Wheeler.

The 40-year-old Spooks star told the Daily Express: "It’s a dream come true. It’s no secret that my husband and I have been trying to have another child and I am incredibly excited at the prospect."

Hermione, who shot to fame as alcoholic mum Karen in the hit TV drama Cold Feet, already has a two-year-old son Wilf.

"I’m not sure what Wilf makes of the idea of having a brother or a sister. We have heard him utter the phrase ’Don’t want new baby, just Wilf’.

"But I’m sure he’ll come round to the idea!"

Hermione, who has denied that Cold Feet will ever return to screens, is set to star in new TV drama Kingdom with comedian Stephen Fry.

The series, directed by Sandy Johnson and Robin Shepperd, is due on screens later this year.

Jumped up actress - March 05
Hermione Norris began her career dressed as a rabbit. The Wire In The Blood star has confessed to The Mirror that she once worked in ’promotions’ handing out leaflets while dressed as a rabbit. She also admitted that she failed her eleven plus and worked as a double glazing salesperson before getting her big break. She’s certainly come on leaps and bounds since then.

No more Cold Feet ever! - December 8 2003
Hermione Norris has dismissed hopes that the comedy drama Cold Feet will ever return.
Hermione played Karen in the series, and she recently said ’It’s then and now. Cold Feet ended and I feel I’m on a new chapter of my life. You can’t go on and on and on if you want to end on a high like we did. It definitely finished at the right time.’

However, the actors John Thomson and James Nesbitt are apparently keen for the drama to come back at some stage, not sure if they have told Hermione that!
